Many poor families and widows struggle to afford basic food supplies every month. Thara Welfare Trust provides regular ration packages to help families meet their essential household food needs.
Monthly Food Support for Families in Need
For families living in poverty, purchasing basic food supplies every month can be a constant challenge. Thara Welfare Trust provides regular monthly ration packages to poor families and widows to help ease this burden.

The Trust gathers information about the needs of deserving families and provides them with essential food items. Elderly and disabled people who cannot visit the Trust are supported through door-to-door delivery, ensuring that their circumstances do not prevent them from receiving assistance.

The monthly ration package contains essential items including 25kg wheat flour, 10kg rice, 4kg sugar, 1kg tea, 5kg daal, 15 packets of milk, 1kg salt, chillies, masala mix, 5 packets of saviyan and 4kg oil.

The package costs approximately £40 and is designed to provide essential food supplies for a family of around 5 to 6 members. The Trust also arranges special Ramadan food packages for hundreds of people in need.

Helping Families Meet Their Monthly Food Needs
For poor families and widows, the cost of essential groceries can place a heavy burden on already limited household incomes. Elderly and disabled people may face an additional challenge when they are unable to travel to collect assistance.

Thara Welfare Trust helps address these needs by providing monthly food packages and delivering them directly to vulnerable people who cannot reach the Trust themselves.
Our Goal
To provide regular food support to families who struggle to meet their monthly needs and ensure elderly and disabled people are not left without essential assistance.
