Restoring Access to Essential Eye Care
Good eyesight can make an enormous difference to a person's ability to work, care for their family and live independently. Yet for families with limited financial resources, eye problems can remain untreated simply because they cannot afford the necessary care.

Thara Welfare Trust supports poor and deserving patients who require eye-related treatment. The support may include eye examinations, specialist consultations, recommended treatment and necessary operations.

The process begins with an assessment by an eye specialist. Patients requiring further treatment are then referred to selected hospitals for the appropriate procedure. The Trust also supports patients with follow-up care after their operation, helping ensure that they receive the attention needed during recovery.

Through this work, the Trust aims to remove financial barriers that prevent vulnerable patients from seeking timely eye care.
