PAKISTAN FLOOD EMERGENCY APPEAL
The 2022 floods caused widespread devastation across Pakistan, leaving millions of people affected by heavy rainfall, flooding and landslides. Many families were left without adequate food, clean drinking water and shelter.
Thara Welfare Trust responded in affected areas of Sindh by providing essential supplies and emergency assistance to families who had been displaced by the floods.
The Trust established a Tent City (Khama Basti) to provide temporary support for at least 50 families, with access to food, clean water and medical assistance. As additional donations became available, the response was intended to reach more affected families.
The emergency response included food packages, clean drinking water, cooked meals, tents and medical aid. The Trust also supported efforts to help homeless and vulnerable families begin rebuilding their lives after the disaster.

When Floods Take Away Everything
The floods left many families without homes, food, clean water and other basic necessities. For people already living with limited resources, losing their shelter and livelihood made recovery even more difficult.
Thara Welfare Trust responded by providing immediate relief while also supporting displaced families with temporary shelter, food, water and medical assistance.

The Trust's flood response focused on helping affected families meet their immediate needs and supporting them as they began the difficult process of recovering from the disaster.
Help Families Rebuild After Disaster
During the 2022 flood emergency, donations helped provide essential relief to families affected by flooding in Sindh.
The original appeal included estimated costs of £50 for a monthly food pack, £100 for water for 50 families, £80 for a tent, £30 for a cooked family meal and £225 for medical aid. These were emergency-response estimates at the time of the appeal.
