GROCERY SHOPS
Helping unemployed and hardworking individuals build sustainable businesses, earn a regular income, and create a more secure future for their families.
GROCERY SHOPS
Thara Welfare Trust believes that one of the most effective ways to fight poverty is by helping people become self-reliant. Through our Grocery Shop Livelihood Project, we provide deserving and unemployed individuals with the opportunity to establish a small business and build a sustainable source of income.
Instead of relying on temporary assistance, beneficiaries are given the means to work, earn and support their families through their own efforts. Each grocery shop is designed to become more than a business — it is an opportunity for greater financial stability, dignity and hope.
Project Vision
Building Communities That Can Thrive
Our vision is to create self-sufficient communities where young people have the opportunity to earn a respectable living and provide for their families.
EMPOWER → ESTABLISH → EARN → GROW

How it Works
01 — IDENTIFICATION
We identify deserving, hardworking and unemployed individuals from local communities.
02 — SETUP
Thara Welfare Trust finances and establishes the grocery shop, including initial stock and essential equipment.
03 — GUIDANCE
We help ensure that each shop is established in a suitable location with the potential to become a sustainable business.
04 — MONITORING
We continue to support and monitor the business as it develops into a lasting source of income.
