HAND PUMPS FOR THARPARKER

The Tharparker area is struck with famine and is in dire need of help. There are a lot of poor people suffering because of the lack of clean drinking water. Children are mostly effected by this and many die as a result. The Chairman of the Trust has visited this area twice in the last year. This is a deprived area which lacks basic facilities. Each hand pump costs £300 to install.

Water for Communities in Tharparkar

Tharparkar is home to many communities where access to clean and reliable water remains a daily challenge. Through our Water Hand Pumps Project, Thara Welfare Trust works to bring essential water sources closer to families living in remote and underserved areas.

By installing hand pumps in communities where they are most needed, we aim to reduce the long journeys people undertake to collect water and make everyday life easier for families. A single hand pump can provide a valuable and lasting source of water for an entire community.
